As I sit at my computer today, like so many others, I suspect, my jeans are a little tighter than they were last week. Hmmmm. Is it possible that Thanksgiving feast could have contributed? I can almost hear Doug asking the question, “What makes bread rise?” Yes, I confess, although there was plenty of delicious fungus-free food to enjoy, I also succumbed to temptation by sampling some of the traditional culprits. (Can you spell s-t-u-f-f-i-n-g?) But, I’m happy to report, veering from a healthy Phase One diet for a day or two doesn’t have to mean a return to old habits. With the end of the holiday weekend (and an end to those left-over’s!) it’s time to get “back on the wagon!” So, how best to get back on track and minimize any damage done? Here are my suggestions:1) Psyllium. A heaping teaspoon shaken into a tall glass of water before bed will help “move” those less-than-ideal foods through your system in record time.2) Pro-biotics.
