Check out this article on TIME. Pay careful attention to the second paragraph where the spokesperson for Novartis says, "the vaccine will likely be on the market before the trial finishes." WHAT? I also like where he says it is likely that "two doses will be required," for the vaccine to be effective. CHA-CHING! What better way to double up on profits than to recommend a double dose of an unproven, marginally tested vaccine? Even drugs that undergo COMPLETE, double-blind, placebo controlled studies and are then placed under the scrutiny of the FDA's regulatory microscope end up getting pulled off the market for being unsafe - why are we going to be recommended drugs that haven't even passed through those hoops completely? I'll take my chances with the swine flu. . .
